Why do you NOT require students fire a handgun in your concealed weapons permit course?

Trigger Control does not require students to fire a gun in any Concealed weapons permit course. When a student takes a CWP course we want the focus of the class to be on your legal rights. After all obtaining a concealed weapons permit gives a person the legal right to carry a firearm. That’s what the class is designed for.

Some other local providers "require firing a gun to complete their concealed weapons course" though it is not required by many of the issuing states.

We encourage all firearms owners to take a practical firearms course in conjunction with a CCW class, but there is not enough time in a single day for a person to have a full and complete understanding of their legal rights and learn how to effectively manipulate a firearm in regards to self defense. We offer Defensive handgun courses to complete everyone’s training.

The time, cost, and mental commitment to train is rewarding, yet taxing. We want all of our students to graduate from our entire program, but realize not everyone can do everything they want, when they want. This is why we have 3 levels, which are broken into blocks. Each adds to the skill set from the prior course. This allows the student to continue their education at their pace.
